A series of farmer workshops involving the major milk processors have taken place in the last 12 months.Over 60 farmer training events have taken place using Myhealthyherd trained consultant vets. The training aims to bring the farmers up to speed with the most recent developmentsin Johne's control and also allow the farmers to conduct a risk assessment using Myhealthyherd for their own farm

The Johne's Engagement program is supported by Dairy Co, National Milk Laboratories, Myhealthyherd and the major milk processors ( Dairy Crest, First Milk, Milk LInk, Wisemans, Glanbia, Arla )
Each farmer is taken to a position of known risk status and is encouraged to conduct a targeted sample of 30 high risk cows for Johnes disease. The results of this screen in combination with the lab results is used to create a "Myhealthyherd Prevalence Report" which graphically illustrates the likely true herd prevalence and how this may change over time if the risks remain unchecked.
The Prevalence report is sent to the farmers and the farmers vet. From here a bespoke control plan can be adopted for the farm.
